A small site should collect a small amount of data.
This policy describes optional analytics, essential hosting records, email, privacy choices, and the safeguards required before advertising is introduced.
Effective date: 14 July 2026.
Who operates this site
Wheel of Persuasion is an independent publication operated by the current owner of wheelofpersuasion.com. Privacy enquiries can be sent to hello@wheelofpersuasion.com.
Information processed during a visit
The website has no user accounts, comment system, advertising tag, or contact form. The interactive audit runs in your browser; its answers are not transmitted to us or stored by the site.
As with most websites, hosting and network infrastructure necessarily processes request information to deliver pages and protect the service. This can include IP address, requested URL, date and time, response status, user-agent string, and security events. Infrastructure records should be limited to what is needed for delivery, abuse prevention, diagnosis, and security.
Email you send
If you email us, we receive the address, message, and information you choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate a correction or rights request, or maintain a necessary record of the conversation. Do not send passwords, payment-card data, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Optional Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4, with measurement ID G-WCCCTD3EP9, to understand aggregate use such as which pages are visited and how visitors move through the publication. The Google tag is not requested and no Analytics measurement is sent unless you select “Allow analytics”.
If allowed, Google Analytics may process page URLs, referrers, interactions, browser and device information, approximate location derived from an IP address, and first-party identifiers. We configure advertising storage, advertising user data, advertising personalisation, Google Signals, and ad-personalisation signals as denied or disabled. See how Google uses information from partner sites.
Cookies and local storage
We store your analytics choice in first-party local storage so the site can remember it. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga. If you decline, the Google tag is not loaded. Navigation, guide filters, the reading indicator, and audit answers are not stored.
Advertising and Google AdSense
No advertising code is loaded at launch. If Google AdSense or another advertising service is introduced, this policy will be updated before ads begin. Third-party vendors, including Google, may then use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve, measure, and protect advertising.
Google’s use of advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to this and other sites. Visitors can learn how Google uses data on partner sites in Google’s partner-site explanation and manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings.
Before serving personalised ads to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we will configure a Google-certified consent management platform that supports the applicable IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. Advertising tags will be deployed only with the required consent behaviour and visible privacy controls.
Sharing and service providers
Information is processed by providers needed to operate the domain, DNS, hosting, security, and email, and by Google Analytics only when you allow it. We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information when required by applicable law, to protect the service and its users, or as part of a legitimate transfer of the publication with appropriate safeguards.
Retention
Operational records are retained only as long as reasonably needed for security, diagnosis, legal obligations, and dispute handling. Email is kept while a request is active and afterwards only where a continuing editorial, rights, security, or legal record is needed. Analytics information is governed by the retention controls configured in the Google Analytics property.
Your choices and rights
You can decline optional analytics or reopen “Privacy choices” in the footer at any time. Depending on your location, you may also have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or a copy of personal information. Send a request from the relevant email address and describe what you need. We may ask for proportionate information to verify the request.
Children
This professional publication is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly create profiles of children.
Changes to this policy
We will revise this page when collection practices or providers materially change. The effective date will identify the current version. A material advertising change will be reflected here before the related tags are enabled.
